The case does not protect the corners too well. |
|
The IMEI number can be used to identify former owners of this phone through the service carrier, T-Mobile. |
|
How did these occur? |
|
This must have been dropped from a great distance if the corner got flattened and a crack developed. | |
There is little protection for all 4 corners. |
|
Did sand get in here creating scratches? |
|
1. Partial refund to be agreed upon by both buyer and seller. Evidence of heavy use and abuse by seller (dropped on all four corners, etc.) are shown in these pictures of an “in perfect condition” phone. The hinge is very wobbly denoting heavy usage or abuse as well. I have two other different color Razr’s obtained in better condition from eBay which I have compared this phone with. Belt clip was not sent with leather holster and that is normally included with holster. OR 2. Seller will refund $72 + return Fedex Ground charges (approximately $8.50 with tracking number and insurance for buyer protection) to buyer first. Buyer will send Razr and accessories back to seller. OR 3. If #1. or #2. is not agreed upon on or before September 5 when the buyer must pay Paypal Buyer Credit (GE Consumer Finance) for this purchase, buyer will chargeback the amount to GE Consumer Finance and send supporting information to them (email correspondence, pictures, and this webpage). final email regarding this webpage of evidence sent through eBay messaging system on September 2, 9:45 a.m. PDT |
The reply to my email accused me of being mildly retarded and did not address the condition of the phone. All throughout the email exchange, she never directly answered my concerns and questions. She ranted about the free leather case, etc., etc. This is the URL of the eBay auction. Be warned. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330154238005 I called GE Money Bank (Paypal Buyer Credit administrator) to get a $72 chargeback as I will not go through the less than useful Paypal Claims Process as it requires me to send the item back at my expense while trusting the seller to refund me - obviously it would not work as the seller is not willing to even discuss the “perfect” phone she sent me. Renato wanted me to send the item back to the seller with a tracking number. I told Renato I went through this chargeback process as Paypal would not payI me for the return shipping to the seller. He agreed to credit me the $8.50 I asked for FedEx Ground. I’m not out any money, but lost a lot of time and opportunity with other auctions / craigslist.com dealing with this “lady.” She got away with this without as much as a scratch, although she got negative feedback from me. Paypal and eBay is ripe for fraud. The buyer can be out for shipping and return shipping for a Significantly Not as Described item according to their User Agreement. I looked at the July 2007 document and they changed it in August 2007 again. |
8/10 3:29pm sorry i couldn't respond sooner, but this phone is in perfect condition. i'll also send you the leather case and car charger w/it. thank you for bidding on my stuff (and winning)! - coronado092404 |
8/10 6:02pm Krista - Not a problem. I saw your previous auctions for shoes and totes and was just curious that you didn't have anything but a stock photo. Anyway, this is for my 10 year old son who's looking forward to getting a cell phone. Thanks again. Jack - jacklew |
8/10 7:38pm hi, yeah, it was the easiest way for me to post the listing, thanks for your purchase! i know he'll like it for sure. - coronado092404 |
8/18 10:14am Krista - When did you send the Razr and by what means as I do not have it yet. Do you have a tracking number? I'm going to be out a few days and want to tell the neighbors to look out for the package. Thanks, Jack - jacklew |
8/18 11:30am it's coming usps, i will give you the tracking number after i go the post office today, sorry for the delay, i didn't want to send it w/o the car charger and leather case and i just found them last night. thanks, kc - coronado092404 |
8/18 12:11pm Not a problem. I'll look forward to getting it Wednesday then. Have a nice day. - jacklew |
8/22 7:09pm Krista - My son has been very patient expecting the phone to arrive any day now. Can you please give me a status of what is happening with this? Thanks, Jack - jacklew |
|
8/22 8:13pm i don't know, but like u say, it should arrive any day now. um...by the way, i left the sim card in there accidentally. but i don't need it back or anything, u can throw it away if u like - coronado092404 |
8/22 8:30pm Do you have a tracking number. Was it sent USPS Priority Mail or Parcel Post and when was it sent? I would to get some idea of when to expect it. - jacklew |
8/24 1:40pm I am not going to the time and effort to open up a Paypal dispute on non-delivery of the phone. If I do not get a reply from you today AND if I do not get a tracking number by Monday and if the phone is not in my hands by Wednesday, I will file a credit card chargeback. You have not been honest with me at all regarding this transaction. - jacklew |
|
8/24 4:30pm i mailed your package the same day i mailed another package and they got theirs today. and the other package went to california too. i understand you're pissed off, i get that way too when ppl don't send my shit in a timely manner. but your cell phone has been sent. anyways, you're gonna have to wait at least 30 days to file a dispute w/your credit card company. i already know from the times i've gone thru the same crap. and your last sentence should have said you don't FEEL that i have been honest regarding this transaction...because i have too!!! not to mention i sent you some free shit to make up for the mail delay...like the leather case and car charger...by the way, YOU'RE WELCOME. - coronado092404 |
8/24 4:38pm The problem with this transaction is you do cannot (or will not) provide me with a tracking number and how you sent it as I have requested earlier in 2 emails. Based on your not providing that info, what proof is there that it has been sent. If I start a claim with Paypal, surely they would request the same information from you as well.- jacklew |
8/24 5:10pm no tracking number was purchased. i have a receipt that has your city state and zip on it and how much the postage cost. i never said i purchased a tracking number, although i did intend to, but i got to the post office too late and had to puy the postage off of one of those damn machines that are annoying as hell. - coronado092404 |
8/24 5:23pm Krista - I just thought you printed the label through Paypal and got a free Delivery Confirmation which you were going to provide. But if you sent it Parcel Post last Saturday, it should be here Saturday - latest by Monday if it was sent after the last pickup. Water under the bridge, but all these emails would have been avoided if you had just told me you sent it on a certain day. Really you only said that in your last email. My fault is I'm an engineer so I'm flawed anyway. :) Jack - jacklew |
8/24 7:37pm that's cool, i swear, really, u caught me on a bad day cuz i did 1 million and 1 things today and i still have to finish up tomorrow since i didn't get everything done today. my bad. but i know your son will like the phone. rest assured you'll get it eventually! nite. - coronado092404 |
8/28 4:25pm Krista - I received the phone on Saturday. It works with no problems. Thank you for including the case and car charger. Do you have the plastic swivel clip that goes with this as it wasn't in the package? You also described "this phone is in perfect condition". I expected some wear and tear - a few light scratches here or there, but there are numerous flaws. The 2 bottom front corners are bashed in as if somebody had dropped it - the paint has chipped off so the black plastic shows. Heavy scratches on the top right corner of the battery cover so the aluminum is visible. Top right has deep scrapes on silver paint that the black shows. Top left has a 1/4" long crack. Looks like it was dropped there also. Obviously, I'm not too happy about the phone's condition as it falls under the "Significantly Not as Described" part of the Paypal User Agreement. I guess we need to work something out with this transaction. Thanks, Jack - jacklew |
8/31 4:12am dude, you're funny. you're not describing the phone i sent you at all. the phone was perfect, nice try tho - coronado092404 |
8/31 6:28am Really, I do not joke about things like this. It is a very serious matter. I'll send you pictures sometime today. - jacklew |
8/31 4:26pm look, i'm not interested in receiving any pix of a camera that either isn't the one i sent you...or was damaged since you got it. because no such phone like the one you described is what i sent you. also, it was mailed in bubble envelope so i seriously doubt it happened in transit...and even if it did, i'm not responsible...i don't care to hear another word about it. - coronado092404 |
8/31 4:40pm Did you carefully look at the phone before you sent it to me? I'm happy paying $72 for the phone you described, but I did not receive a 'perfect' phone nor even one with acceptable wear and tear but a phone that shows evidence of being dropped, scraped, etc. If you don't want pictures that fine, but I only have this Miami Ink phone and no other Miami Ink phone, I won't send you any. I'll have to pursue a Paypal claim then and attach these emails. - jacklew |
8/31 10:53pm i used that phone every day and every day it had the cover on it. how could a phone that was always in my purse or pocket or BRA have scrapes, bashes and crap like you describe? Especially since it always had a cover over it to protect it? YES i know exactly what it looked like cuz i had it in my hand while i was listing it. i completely disembled it and everything was PERFECT. if you want to file a fraudulent claim, go ahead, more power to you. and fyi...ebay has access to our messages already, you act like i'd be afraid of what they read. anyways, your claim is bogus. - coronado092404 |
9/2 9:45am See http://jacktechie.com/ebay_razr.htm for evidence 1. Partial refund to be agreed upon by both buyer and seller. Evidence of heavy use and abuse by seller (dropped on all four corners, etc.) are shown in these pictures of an "in perfect condition" phone. The hinge is very wobbly denoting heavy usage or abuse as well. I have two other different color Razr?s obtained in better condition from eBay which I have compared this phone with. Seller will refund $72 + return Fedex Ground charges (approximately $8.50 with tracking number and insurance for buyer protection) to buyer. Buyer will send Razr and accessories back to seller. OR 3. If #1. or #2. is not agreed upon on or before September 5 when the buyer must pay Paypal Buyer Credit (GE Consumer Finance) for this purchase, buyer will chargeback the amount to GECF and send supporting information to them (email, pictures, and this webpage). - jacklew |
9/2 11:20am i have to think your are mildly retarded for you to complain about the leather case which was only sent to you as a courtesy, it was in no way mentioned on my listing. no to mention all comments i stated were AFTER you bought the damn phone so what reason would i have to lie or misconstrew the condition of the phone??? you also mention fedex ground charges being returned to you? SHIPPING WAS FREE. you are unbeleivable. - coronado092404 |
9/2 11:30am Due to this response, I called GE Financial Services for a chargeback. Would you like to deal with this person? I know I would not want to. Who’s unbelievable here and who's reputation needs a lot of changing? Jack Left negative feedback |
